Mad About Cross Stitch Sharing My Cross Stitching Projects

I completed this cross stitch kit in about 2 weeks. This one was done for my wonderful partner who says “it’s gorgeous, I love it”.

I didn’t really like working on dark Aida because is very tiring on the eyes, and would recommend good lighting for projects that are on dark fabric. Having said that I do really like the depth that this cross stitch has which I feel is due to the light colours on the dark Aida, so I think I will do some more like this one day. Apart from working on the dark fabric I really enjoyed stitching this because even before the outline was done this picture had wonderful depth to it and was truly amazed how a small cross stitch could look so amazing.

This cross stitch kit was designed by Darrell Bush and has a finished size of 5″ x 7″. It’s been stitched on 18 count Navy Aida and is one of the Petites Gold Collection by Dimensions.

This was the first cross stitch kit I have done from the Dimensions Gold Collection.

The finished cross stitch is 18″ x 10″ and is stitched on 14 count Ivory Aida. This cross stitch, designed by Jamie Lee has such amazing colours and a wonderful thatched cottage. A lot of detail can be seen and was a real pleasure to stitch, time it took for me to stitch this was about 8 months.

English Valley Cottage has got to be my most favorite cross stitch so far. I often have people say it looks like a painting and that makes me feel very proud to correct them and say “No, it’s not a painting, I stitched that picture”. Which is usually followed by ‘WOW!’.
